Still here

Hi everyone. School is starting back up. Tuesday the kiddies will return to class to learn how to eat paste and carve their names in rulers. I am still working on strips (2 more on the table now) and will post as soon as I can. I am also working on a 3 page strip for an upcoming anthology that I will tell you about later. Until then, please stay with me and I will post new work soon. I may even post pics of the studio now that I am moved into the small bedroom and my daughters will share the big one I used to use.

The Book Of Violence

Been thinking a lot lately about the culture of violence we seem to be a part of.

It's a maaaaaad world

I am playing around with a large scale strip that I hope to serialize in the Hive anthology. It is called "The Book of Violence" and if it comes out the way I see it, it will be pretty crazy. I have been thinking a lot lately (mostly since I had a kid, and now with another on the way) about the culture of violence we live in. Not only do we deal with crime, war and such but we revel in violent video games, movies, comics, etc. I have been thinking about the phrase, "blessed are the peace makers" and wondering about my roll in that as well. So, the strip is all about violence in it's many forms. I hope to make it so over the top as to make it seem as ridiculous as it is (especially for those who use it for their own ends). It is hard to be a peace maker because we are born into this culture. I hope it will be fun. Fun? Maybe it could be put in a book some time.

Let the comics begin!

OK, so I am working on a graphic novel to be called "This Side Up." It features a cardboard box dealing with the trials and affairs of his life. Please don't ask me what it is about. I can't say just yet. I have about 51 pages story boarded and almost 4 finished. Here is just a taste. You will be able to read the actual story as I post pages on a semi regular schedule.
